There are several different ways to put animation on a web page. You could use an Animated GIF, Flash, JavaScript, Director, LiveMotion, and 3-D Studio Max are just a few programs you can use to create these animation.

Most animations that are created for the Internet are made into Animated GIFs. This is because the download time is faster and it is a format that is viewable on may browsers.
